Good Morning!  Happy Spring! I just love it!  What a glorious time of year!   I often write these articles for The Bright Side in the early morning hours.   That is my best time to think clearly (as clear as I ever get!) and create. As I sit and write this now from my backyard deck, I hear birds chirping, the grass is dewy and everything is beginning to bloom.  I am watching six deer move slowly
through my backyard.  They are watching me too!  (Can't you tell how quiet I am being?!)   It is truly beautiful!  What a blessing!

Thanks for sending all your wonderful wishes and loving energy in my direction this coming Saturday (April 6, 2002).  I am getting married!  I am sure "The Wacky Adventures of Beth and John" will appear from time to time in future issues of The Bright Side!   John is a very brave (crazy perhaps?) man!    :-)

Enjoy the freshness that comes with spring!

With Love,
Beth

Shifting Into Wholeness

As a coach in the profession of life success and business coaching, I have the same objective as a sports coach -- to win!  I want to see my clients function optimally on a consistent basis so that they are the champions of their lives.

In order to do that, we partner on a plan -- supporting you to make permanent changes.   A brief change in behavior is never enough to make it all the way to the championship.  Winning a few games does not necessarily make a championship season.   Compare it to going on a crash diet ... one can lose some weight, but does he/she make lasting health changes?  Not likely!  The way to lose weight is to change your eating habits and exercise each day.  Then, gradually, it just becomes a healthy way of life.  Eventually, it is almost effortless.  That's a shift!

It's the same with anything else that is a worthy endeavor.  It takes time, a sensible plan, dedication and discipline to make it happen.

My role as your coach, is to support you in making the lasting changes that you want in your life.  We work on "the sensible plan" first and then on the dedication and discipline to make it happen.  To do this, we focus on "who" you are instead of "what" you do.  When one does this, he/she can begin the shift into wholeness.  This is the cornerstone of true self-esteem!  For example,
let's compare some of the "whos" verus some of the "whats."

WHO I AM                     WHAT I DO
I am healthy versus I am dieting and exercising.
I am successful versus I work as a police officer.
I am a great parent versus I help out with the kids.
I am a spiritual being versus I attend religious services.

The change is an INTERNAL one (who I am) instead of an EXTERNAL one (what I do). It's growth.  As you begin to be aware of your language (especially to yourself) and as your perspective changes, you will find yourself shifting into
a new place of wholeness.  What you DO matters a lot less than who you ARE. What you do is temporary -- who you are is permanent.

Wholeness is that rich, vibrant part of yourself.  It's the core of your being that is free of self-limiting behaviors.  It's that sacred part of yourself that
knows you are worthy, by virtue of being just who you are.  Wholeness is understanding that YOU make a difference and what you do is merely a small part of that.

Who are you right now and who do you have to be to be whole?  Let's begin today and you can become the champion in your life!

Soul Restoration Tip

In Search of Soul
by Mark Warner

Soul Seekers
reaching out
peering through the darkness
and grasping for wonders.

Hoping to catch a glimmer
of an unknown belief
solidified by acknowledgment
and
confirmed by action.
The soul
the deepest part of self
barely nudged
hardly examined.
But when discovered
transforms a life forever

never to regain
its original form.
The new understandings
enable the explorer
to
move a grand step closer
to fulfilled personhood.

Are you ready to step into "fulfilled personhood"?  If you are ready to experience wholeness and would like support, please contact me at 678-938-0419.  My mission is to teach people to love themselves and to love the life they
create!

Our next issue of The Bright Side comes out on April 17.  By then, I will be very married and will also be 40(yikes!) years old!  Oh my -- what a week!  I'm sure I'll have lots to share!  See you then!

Wholeheartedly,
Beth
