I believe in authenticity, and it is my deepest desire that people see me and the work I do as an extension of my core from deep within.  I believe each of us is on our own path of evolution, and in that regard, not one of us has “arrived".   That certainly includes me.
 
At BrightSide Coaching, I hope you will come to know who I am as a  person, and as a professional coach.  You will find (and may or may not like) that my goal is be very “real”.  If that appeals to you, then I may be the coach to work with you on your personal growth journey.  I would love that!   If that doesn’t appeal to you, and you want to connect anyhow, I welcome that and will make a referral to another coach if appropriate. 
 
Most folks don't want to be pressured into something they may not be ready for.  It is not of any value to you as a potential client, to me as a coach, or to the profession of coaching.   I am a very passionate advocate for the profession of coaching and my fellow coaches.  We are a diverse bunch of professionals who take many paths to do the work we have been called to do.  I respect that process and trust that it is how we can best serve our individual and unique clients.
 
The cornerstone of who I am, and the work I do, is based in my faith and responsibility to do my best to love others as Jesus loved people. I like to say that upfront so that you know the perspective from which I come.  It’s too important to dance around faith, which, I believe, is a gentle process that requires sensitivity and mutual respect.  I am continually reminded that it was Jesus who told us not to judge so that we are not judged.  If we segregate ourselves through judgment, we can not engage in a meaningful conversation.
 
I fully realize that I am complex in my approach and not easily put into a nice, neat box as an individual, as a Christian, or as a coach.  Nor do I ever want to be!  I have learned that the people who come to me for coaching are also complex and will not be put in a box by self-limiting beliefs or a closed mind.
